What's good for young children near Enniskillen?
Fermanagh Fun Farm is a good shout for little ones — animals and farm activities tend to go down well. Castle Irvine (Necarne) Equestrian Centre offers horse and pony experiences. Johnny Rocko's is worth a visit with younger children, and Jumpin Jacks Enniskillen has trampolining that burns off plenty of energy.
More about Enniskillen
Enniskillen has one of the prettiest settings of any town in Northern Ireland, sitting on an island between the upper and lower stretches of Lough Erne with water on every side. At its heart is Enniskillen Castle, built around 1428, with its rare and much-photographed Watergate towers added around 1580.
The town's old Portora Royal School educated two of the greatest names in literature, Oscar Wilde and Samuel Beckett. And there is plenty to explore nearby: the underground Marble Arch Caves in the Cuilcagh Mountain Geopark, and the grand estates of Castle Coole and Florence Court. Around 14,000 people live here.
