Walk-in soft play + cafe

You walk straight in, no booking needed for normal play, and you pay per child for a timed session of roughly 90 minutes. When we checked, under-3s were around £6 and ages 4 to 9 around £7, with babes in arms free and a cheaper Wacky Wednesday during term time, but prices change so check before you go. It's built for children aged 9 and under, all playing in the same custom three-level frame rather than a walled-off baby zone. There's the Avenue Cafe on site with a kids menu, so you can sit with a coffee while they climb. Bring socks to be safe — most soft play frames need grippy socks for kids, and it's worth confirming on arrival.

The story

About the centre

Wacky Workshop is the indoor adventure playground inside the Goldrush Entertainment Centre on Dunluce Avenue in Portrush, billed as the North Coast's premier soft play for children aged 9 and under. The custom three-level frame includes soft play, interactive activities and a double-lane wave slide.

It sits alongside the Avenue Cafe, the Prizezone arcade and a Sprinkles ice cream parlour under the same roof, so a soft-play visit can easily turn into a longer family stop in the centre of town.
