More about Kilkeel

Kilkeel is the working heart of the Kingdom of Mourne, home to the largest fishing fleet in Northern Ireland. Its busy harbour and fish market make it a lively place to watch the boats come in, and it is also the southernmost town in Northern Ireland.

The town sits on a plain right below the Mourne Mountains, so it is a natural base for exploring them, including the Silent Valley. In the town you will find the ruins of St Colman's, a church dating back to 1388.
